The recently big thing introduced to the TV industry was the 3D technology - i was impressed by the 3d felt when the first time experienced on the Samsung TV. It's not because of the 3D play by the TV but the ability to transform the REAL TIME rendering into 3D! Coincidently, i discovered a pair red-blue glasses during my house keeping last weekend that i decided to figure out more in this topic :) ... was spend few hours to google this idea & finally found the correct term to explain this - "ANAGLYPH" (please not search for the word 3D or you will end up with all the 3D computer graphic :p)

How this 3D experience works? it is actually create a blurred image infront of your eye focus point, confusion your brain & make it felt like growing up. There are few ways to generate the 3D experience - cross-eye method, parrallel eye method, color anaglyph, etc... the first 2 methods are very simple... no need to have the glasses but you will end up suffer your eye :DDDD. The anaglyph method required to use the red-blue glass or the shutter glass to process it. Some TV players now even integrated the shutter glass on their LED so you can view the 3D TV without the glass....cool man. Blablabla...and the story goes.... the next steps is the BKM i wanna shared here to turn your computer into 3D processor ON-THE-FLY...

1. Get a red-blue glass or make it yourself :p

2. Get this freeware called STEOREOMAKER from the web.... yes, it is free!!!

3. Prepare a digital video, I choose the AVI format.

4. Load the video to both sides & adjust the spacing between the videos. The larger the better 3D experience. There is some calculations to do this but since not everyone is Scientist here, i not going to cover it here...haha

5. Sit down, wear up the red-blue glass & PLAY...

I can view any movies with my "budgetted" 3D theathe system now.... but not for porns hoo...lol

Had a trip to Taiwan last week. This Taiwan trip actually was purposed by Piggy, I personally prefer HongKong than Taiwan, Taiwan was still a strange country to me at that time. Luckily it was not disappointed..hehe. Kudos to Piggy for the efforts to make this trip happened...muaxxxx.

Initially i was thinking Taiwan was a lousy country that similar with Malaysia, but after the trip, it proved that i am wrong. Well, Taiwan is far more developed beyond my expectation.

福星系列 - Lucky Star Series

80s-90s was the peak season of the HK movies. From vampires series, gambling series, wong fei hong series, stephen chow series, etc... the lucky star series were one of my favorites - although i was not very follow these movies during their release timeframe. I just start knowing this series during my form-3 where the folks used to hang up in group & bluffing when the teachers skipped class.

The Lucky Star had been filmed 7 movies from 1985-1995. Its story line is about a group of 4/5 "fokxing" who helps the police to accomplish the illegal missions. Some of the K lei fair actors in the movies are super stars now. Is good to have some laughing during weekend - hope you enjoy the clips :)

April 1st... the first thing reminded me was the died of Leslie Cheung. Kok kok made a big "joke" with the world by choosing that day to end up his life. Still remember the SMS that i received from Eddie Chai that Leslie was committed suicide. Well, for sure nobody will gonna believed it. My reply to Eddie was "yaya, very funny huh?"

Since the day onward, every years the same day, you can listen to the radio for Leslie's songs the whole days, today included.

Today no foolish joke, almost forgot today was the day. Not until the moment i logged into youtube...

Intrepid Ibex Vs Hardy Heron

It was way back the time i had updated to Ubuntu Ibex. So many bugs ever seen after the upgrade. Most of the application failure issues can still be tolerate, but the most concern trigger me is the failure on the gnome terminal! Man, linux without console is like the car without steering... how am i going to drive it? I need to fix this.

After browse through the Ubuntu ticket list, i decided to gave up my initial thought. There are too many bugs seen on Ibex pending for closure. Is this upgrade worth it? I will downgrade to Heron once the current system backupped.

Just to name few major bugs that bitting my ass:

1. Bad graphic driver

Detail: Unable to load the 3D graphic

Damaged 3: No google map, no Elisa

2. Restart system

Detail: System will stuck at the exit screen when ctrl+alt+backspace

Damaged 1: Need to press power button to force it closed

3. Gnome terminal

Detail: System graphic mess up when execute the terminal
Damaged 100+: Cannot see anything on the screen. No console means nothing else i can do!

4. System volume

Detail: The system sound is not loud enough
Damaged 5: I need to tune up the speaker in order to catch the sound.

5. Add/Remove Programme panel

Detail: No application listed on the panel
Damaged 10: How am i going to add/remove application???

These buggie should be enough to justify for a downgrade call
(painful action for me >_< )

Answer:

Monitor. Personally spent 10 hours in front of the monitor. ~ 6 hours with IBM & lap monitors. ~4 hours with Optiplex. OMG, even more than da time i spend with my gf...lol. Anyway, 20 inch monitor sure not sufficient for me (have spared 10 inch to piggy to watch drama pun -_-"). Wish to get another extra one to expand my view... hehe. (hopefully, the newly bought graphic card can support dual display mode)

Well, tvb really did a great job on producing this drama. Each episodes has its own climax to catch our attention, its touching moment always companion with the good old day songs. Tear shed since first episode... for me, the most touching parts are the mute pretty "ah heng" being dump & hong yee's wedding. Cham la....cant wait for episode 36...-_-"

Last week adopted an orphan from Dell... her given name is Optiplex. Optimal performance is her behavior. Born with 4 brains & 4G depth memories, you sure wont doubt on her ability. Her 250G huge stomach almost can swallow anything that i feed her....lolx.

However, nothing is perfect in this cruel world. She was abondon by her parent... leaving her without any treasure memories. She never been taught on how to speak nor cry... dun even hope she can do the calculation for you. She not even understand a single command from any of us. I search around every corners of the world, just hope that there is a miracle somewhere else that can cure my honey. And finally, i found him...

This is the first time i met this guy - Ubuntu. He is the sibling of my old friends - RedHat & Mandrake (he is baptized & changed his name to Mandriva now... not sure got circumsized or not...:D:D:D). Ubuntu is totally different from his two siblings, he is much more smarter than i thought. His intelligence even higher than those stingy Dr.Visda & Dr. leapord. He is a generous guy. He willing to guide my Optiplex without asking for a single penny. Within a week, My Opti now can speak any languages across the planets & entertaining us with all kind of skills. I love her very much.

Lovely Weekend

Finally get back my normal life in Penang. Last few weekends were spent on travelling around KL-Penang-Sing... wow. Now, I can lay on the bed till 9am... wake up fed my nemos & dolly before having the 3-in-1 nescafe... wash clothes, clean up the house...balababala... My life back on track - watching the TVB series before go out gaigai :D.

It was raining season recently, the days were so cold & make me felt sleepy. After clean up my messy room & the fish tank, took a short trip down to Jawi to have the mushroom farm. On the way back to BM, the rain getting heavy. We went to visit the newly open shoppling complex - Aeon Jusco, somewhere near Bandar Perda. The building is grand & classy, next time when move in to new house, might visit more frequen. The rain never stop since early morning - decided to take out the sticky sticker that pasted on my Myvi few months back :"). Raining day...must have a beer to warm up the body ma...

9% alcohol - you can dance after the drinks :p

During dinner time, just notice that most of the area in Seberang Prai are surrounded by water. Gosh... living in the waterworld soon. We have no choose back change our dinner place to somewhere nearer... the rain continue falling...

The next day back to island... continue watching "Gahoyuetyuan"... weather is cool... so many touching scenes... wonder why 8/15 so important for some ppl :p... went to tesco for late lunch & do a shop for food. Bought some fresh vege & seafood for the dinner... i finally get my chance to taste on the "Siu Heng" wine shrimp from EH's recipe. Ju-Ga-Choy are always the choice of the men :D.

His answer was simply "良禽择木而栖"(what a present surprise... this malay guy knew the meaning of the quote better than i do..paiseh la). Beside $, there actually have others elements that can spice up your life and drive you to the peak of the mountain. BKM to save petrol

I was drove back to KL last trip due to the bus tickets were fully sold off -_-". Without consider those expensive yellow-bull-tickets, decided to drive back. I changed my drive techique that day - i just maintaint to drive at 100-110kmh. Usually it took me a full tank to reach my KL house (when approaching 380, the bar will start blinking). But last friday, when i reach my house....the petro meter caught my attention. OMG....there still have three petro-bars available! Wowww.... if assume 1 bar as 45km, it is possible to reach 500km per tank :).

Initially i was thinking the saving was due to the Cathex petrol (i usually pump Shell :P). On the return trip, i confirmed the BKM to save myvi fuel - maintain the speed of the car below 3.5 rpm. Any myvi's owners here can double confirm my BKM ar?

Today is Friday, another stress-less Friday. The special of today is this is 080808 which happened only once in a decade. The most uniquely of today is.... the Beijing Olimpic 2008 was kick of tonite....yeah...

Today, we went to McD for lunch....purposely to get the limited edition of the Cola-cola's glass (my favorite drink :p). It is designed according to the classic cola bottle & it is made glass... next time drink coke, it will always remind me of the day.... I am loving it :*

As of the dinner, the dell's folks called out the gathering at TGI's friday to catch the Opening Celemony of the ever grand event of the year. The event started @ 08:08:08pm 08082008 which is a great for the chinese (heard that 0808 was a hot number and the local gambling already band this number -_-") . The celemony really great.... the traditional and historical story of China are presented in a very hightech way. The show is impressive & beyond my
expectation....well done.

I had a very bad experience on my marine tank recently. Everything screw up because of a simple mistake. The story is like this:

Lately i spent less time in my house due work. I was lazy to refill the tank water until the water level dropped few inches from the normal level (for those who never setup the marine tank, this is the daily task that we must do) . As lost so much water from the tank, the salt level became high enough to kill my anemone (nemo's favorite habitats). My anemone drying... this is not the terrible thing yet. I filled up my tank with fresh water and resume to tank back to the normal state.

Everything looks fine & i make a mistake to keep the drying anemone in the tank. Since i bought this species, i always threat it is a plant and grow it like a plant. I thought after it died, its remain will be absord into the water like the plant... I am wrong!!!... it did not absord into the water but the died "body" polluted my whole tank instead. It is really stink, imagine the taste of a the died fish at the seaside....*yiiiiiiiiiak. The surface of my tank covered by a layer of oil. It almost killed every creatures in my tanks!!! I lost: 2 stickworms, 1 7-lines (fish), and my beloved stone-shrimp (rare species - i only saw one so far).

My tank lefts 2 nemos, 1 dory & a deesel only.... so sad. For this moment, i will not stock in any more items into the tank until i have more time to take care of them. I am uploading the last view of my stone-shrimp... feel free to pay your last respect to him.... ~sob ~sob

The project's crunch time is @ the corner.

The fish spa was originated from Turkey (some said is from Africa). The doctor fishes that used for the spa can survive under a hot temperature & they will treat the dead skin from our body as their food. The turkeys use this therapy for skin disease treatment. I observed many spas in KL/PG, the doctor fish that they are using is not the one found in the web but it is more like the "tilapia/flowerhorn".

What is the feeling of fish-bite? Emm... if you ever try the electro-shock massager, i can tell you that the feeling is exactly the same as being shock by electrical. It will definately relieve your stess. It is a great experience though :)

Great movie of the week - Batman, The Dark Knight. The movie received very good feedbacks since released last week. Heard that it is a 2 hours 40 minutes movie, the story line is totally difference from the typical marvel hero movie.

This is the first time i book movie tickets online. Suppose to book ticket yesterday but due to the lousy ticketing system, i only manage to get rid of it today. I been registered the GSC account few years back - but everytime i try log-in to my account, i thought the system is fail because it always idle at the same page. Finally, i found out what is the problem. Same problem happen yesterday after few attemps to log-in. This time, i passionly search through the whole webpage see what went wrong. At last i saw a sentence in red (which i always skip reading the words in the page) that said "Your account is not activated yet, please activate though your email". I knew whats wrong with me already... LOL

*no wonder GSC never give free tickets to me during my Birthday la.

Treasure Hunt 2008 (Penang - Genting)

Yeah...the long waiting treasure hunt will be flag off tomorrow...can't wait to rush though the street to find out the treasures. This is the 2nd time i join the hunt & again i am the driver :). The excitement of the game is difference for the driver & the participants. Participants will need more brain juice to digest those tough "silly" questions where as the driver... he only needs to concentrate on the road... follow the tulips... race with other drivers :) and off course.. obey the road safety guideline. (next time i will try the participant see...hehe)

Our team is called "paradise" - given by my navigator - jojo. Tomorrow we will flag off at 7am @ Penang and will be end up @ ipoh ~ 2pm before we move out to our final destination - Genting. I just manage to finish read though the question-solving techniques. The sample questions are tougher than my degree papers... -_-".

Gotto sleep early...else get late will deduct points pun. Good nite la.

活出生命LIVE演唱会 (Live da Life LIVE Concert)

During the way to fetch Piggy, i experienced a LIVE concert from the God-of-Songs. Jacky Cheung's Live performance - 25 love songs from China, HK, & Taiwan that you were never heard from Jacky before. The concert was a charity performance held on 5th Oct 2004, the one and only one in history that Jacky sang the songs from others famous artists... his voice really catching the attention of the fans. The songs sang included artist 陈百强's “等”、Leslie's “追”、Beyond's “情人”、邓丽君“但愿人长久” & etc. Beside the HK's songs, Jacky also brought us the songs from Taiwan & English (Bee Gees's “First of May”, 张信哲's “爱如潮水”). Thanks to the traffic jam at the BJ roundabout (due to the faulty traffic lights), i able to enjoy the concert - song by song. You will follow the rhythm even you dunno the songs... is really Live!!! Highly recommend to get the original copies for collection :)

After ~2 weeks marathonly chasing Forensic Horeos II series, it is about reaching the end of the story. Unfortunely, the network today is damn slow... really suffer alots to chase the last few episodes. I will stop watching the series right now, hope the network will back to normal tonite and resume the story. Well, the series is about the forensic investigation, the story explained alots of forensic investigation theories, quite interesting. Basically is like the typical TVB story la, you will disappointed when the series approaching the ending -_-".

The following scene just caught my attention. "Back to Basic" method - apply whenever you confused in decision making or lost somewhere in life. For investigation, if the evident is blur, the forensic have to reaccess the evident again. For debug, if no progress or stuck, maybe there is something wrong in the first place. As for love, if the relationship is getting bore, u can recall the memorable moments and do something that u did to stimulate the feeling again :)

Try flash back to basic while something is stuck, it do helps.

Shihlin Taiwanese Street Snack

Yesterday suppose to join piggy's ex-colleague gathering dinner. However, they changed the venue to have dinner @ Shihlin "restaurant", Qmall due to avoid traffic jam -_-". I thought they will have a grand gathering at some big restaurant. Abit disappointed when saw this "restaurant". The seats are very limited, really like those hawker stall near the round side. Anyway, the snack foods at the shop are really delicious (a bit expensive for the street snack -_-")

Adopted a pet

Company newly launched program - "adopt a pet". All the permanent staffs are eligible to adopt a pet and company will sponsor rm50 for it. Actually this program is not to educate the staffs on caring animals issue. It is for office ergonomic issue -- adopt a mouse :D

Went to Harvey & bought a laser wireless mouse. The pet has an ergonomic design, attractive color and reasonable cheap price :). It just cost rm79.90 nia - piggy got rm40 company vouchers & wolfy got rm50 company subsidy. Earned rm10.10 some more... lol.

JUNE Buddies Lunch - PEN Mutiara

Had a group buddies lunch yesterday. 4 pairs of buddies - botak/sy, sata/tiger, me/arip, irene/looksiew. Team decided to have the lunch @ PEN Mutiara restaurant, Batu Maung. The restaurant is newly renovated and it looks like a 5 star hotel!... another project from BN -_-". Anyway, the specialty of this restaurant is curry fish which we did not order... lol. The restaurant got many "VIP" customers - BN YBs, PKR YBs, polispolis, datuk-datin... i believe the restaurant owner is a VIP as well.

Diarrhoea Again T.T

Twice in a month -_-". Last Tuesday took a day off due to the Diarrhea (Carls Jn's burger poisoned me). Yesterday took a day off due to Diarrhea too. My god... i think this round is due to Kayu's maggie goreng.

This round i went to PANXXXXX instead.Why? Last time went to IMA, i felt like i understand the patient more than the Dr. No eye contact, no physical contact, the IMA Dr just asked me 3 questions - "Yes?", "What you ate?","MC today?". The IMA service is suck! As for PANXXXXX, 1 drawback is, you need to wait for a very very long queue. I wait there for 1 hour only manage to see the Dr. Luckily, got a lenglui (mini-skirt) start a small chat with me, so i wont felt so bore... :"). Time for my turn to enter the Dr room. The nice looking Dr introduced her - she is Dr. Koh. Quite a friendly Dr :). "Mr. Crabby, how can i help you?" Woow, this statement make me felt very comfort. Once she captured my input, she get me lay down and did physical contact on my stomach. After the checkout, she start a small conversation (later i found out that she is dragging the time -_-"). Their new installed database system very crash, she having slow response from enter/retrieving the data, her boss dun want to spend $$ for the hardware, bo bian la. When she pressed the keyboard once, we chatting and i saw the PC only response after few second. OMG, it took about 5 minutes only retrieved all the medicine i needed... and she still using the dotted printer! This is the reason why PANXXXXX need to queue for so long -_-"

After the checkout, I took a day off :D. I found out something - recently so many lengluis take initiative to chat with me. Is it because of my new hair style?? lol

Unleash the iPhone

Sis bought a new iphone for her birthday (partly sponsored by her bf - so rich huh!?). It was a UK model, sold it @rm1800 & cracked with workable flash. It was gorgeous, medal feel & a little bit heavier than ipod touch. Its functions are awesome, I will not share the good thing on iphone here, you can get the hard-sell points from Steve Job directly. I would like to share here about some "improvement-needed" stuff:

1. Undetachable battery - which means the battery die you die loo
2. Website content - unable to download. You cannot save the photo from the web :(
3. Slow interaction - i like to the feeling of fast-pressing the phone with my thumb. However, you cannot do this in iphone. You only can gently swipe the phone with your index fingers which slower down the speed of interaction.
4. No button for games - the touch screen really not a good way to play those high-end games. Sorry :p
5. No excel/word/powerpoint - Worse than windows mobile T.T
6. No Flash - the most disappointed point. Iphone not supporting Adobe Flash yet. OMG, what will the website be if the browser not support flash!

Well, anyhow this is still the best phone in the world. Impossible to get a smart phone with those functions and this competitive price. Iphone still my wishing list's phone.

Finally made my signature onto the contracts. :) Actually not a signature but few hundreds signature! Man, sign until my hand not able to hold the pen -_-"

Total of four contracts - Bank loan agreement, S&P, land ownership & bank xxx contract. Average 30 pages per agreement, each agreement have 4 copies. We need to drop a signature on each pages. Meaning roughly ~30x4x4 = 480 signatures had been signed, total piggy and I signed 960 times!!!

It took about 30 minutes finished it, hand also turn soft -_-". Maybe this is the reason why Malaysian only bought 1 house in their whole life. Maybe I should use thumb print instead :p

(KL JUNE) The Garden

Continue on last KL trip... Went to Mid-valley (as usual). This trip, was purposely bring Piggy to the saloon @ The Garden. Piggy got a promotion flyer during last Mei trip - rm99 to cut + coloring by hair stylist. Wow, what a cheap deal... We went straight to Saloon to made appointment. Since worth it, I also ask for the promotion for myself as well :D.

We have our lunch @ the Taiwanese Restaurant - Fong Lye. There was so crowded. We have to wait for a long queue. We manage to get the seats before mum and siss came. The decoration of the restaurant is like typical Taiwanese shop - got water pond, chopstick/bowl, Chinese calligraph, feng shui stuff etc.

Quite a variety of foods to choose from and the price is reasonable (*expensive pun). This round siss "wat" me kaokao la. 1 thing i want to highlight is, the restaurant hired many foreign waiters. Hard to communicate with them - mandarin? english? cantonese? hokkien? They speak neither.

(KL June) Pasar Road Revisit

Its has been 4 months not visit pasar road. The last time i went there was back to last CNY. This area is famous of its electronic street, wet market, pets stalls & etc. I used to spend my weekend morning here. As usual, Piggy & I went to took the breakfast near the "Wei Six Gai". The curry mee over there was fantastic (Curry mee @ KL and Penang are totally different). Let me show you what a complete perfect curry mee should have....

A curry mee should has (1) curry...off course la (2) Noodle (3) White Chicken (4) Tao Ge (5) 1 1/2 inch Taofu Pok (6) 1/2 raw Si Ham (7) Pork Skin & (8) Fish Ball. The chili source will play a very important role as well - it should be the belacan chili with half piece of mandarin lemon.
(Penang's curry mee - (3) no, (6) overcooked , (5) less than 1/2 inch Taofu Pok, (7) no, additional Pork Blood.... eeeik!!)

B is the land i dreamed for since the beginning, but i knew it will hardly developed in current situation.
C is the toughest and most challenged area. If succeed, you are the man; else you will have nothing.
D new enviroment, potential of growth guaranteed. But have to relocate my financial and consider tough pun.

Kung Fu Panda

Went for a movie at Piramid yesterday. I thought the movie is kindly like the disney fairy tale movie, but after highly recommend by Botak and saw this funny Panda lifeshow at Midvalley, decided to catch this movie with piggy.

The movie not disappointed at all. Great CG animation, excellent story line and lots of funny scenes. Got featured by Jacky Chan some more - voice for the monkey (less than 5 dialogs nia, what a humiliate :D). I rated 10/10 for it. Must see movie for the month!!

Several "engineers" playing ball in the company. Not be surprise, the ball pushed to me off course... Really a bit disappointed.

No free lunch dude!

Last sunday's nite, desktop prompted out a message while i watch the show. I was being informed that the next version of the AVG (famous free antivirus) is no longer "FREE". There will not have any updates for the current AVG. Well, that is the business. When gain enough popularity, ppl sure greedy for $$ la. Basically i do not offense their policy. As a programmer, i understand the effort on developing such a powerful tool. Their programmers have to survive pun ma. No choice lo, just uninstall the AVG and search for replacement. Luckily there still have many powerful "free" antivirus out there for me to try up...at least temporary for me to replace the old one. I found another lighter version antivirus called Avira. Quite effective pun, just installed and able to catch 2 "potential" viruses for me :). For this moment, i will just let it to take rid of my system...till sometime they take the free lunch back.

Nano & Pico lead by how many zero huh?

I always confused by these fundamental units - Nano is 1o^-9 Pico is 10^-12 or vise versa? To be frank, i am not good in memorize numbers. It is kind of tough for me to swift between these two notation. Everybody talked on pico second since the evolution of high-speed devices, suddenly switch gear back to nano second. I felt like, omigosh, how many zero are there for nano???

Since worked on the i-diagram, my mind was filled with the numbers & formulas - formulas that never learn before, no where to reference, nobody know or perhaps only i dunno. Questions like Lease-squared method, reference deduct actual squared, jitter, linear interpolation, why interested on standard deviation but RMS, why rise/fall time fixed to 10/90 and not 20/80 but the compliance tool not even used these two values (this question need to close sooner =P) .

So far as i did programming, single/double never my concern. Not until i met i-diagram. Maybe some ppl will treat 2.083 ns as the signaling rate. Maybe 2.083333ns more accurate. Maybe 2.0833333ns, 2.08333333333, 2.0833333333333ns? The most precision for sw should be 1/480e6. I believe those US Bus validators/designers never care about the precision of the value. The concern is - whether PASSED or FAILED, providing the value is flow within the 5%/10% tolerance level, then is good enough. Maybe some of them only recognized the color for Pass fail. For jitter measurement, the precision of actual period will definately impact the result of the jitter.

I will continue to learn the formulas, memorizes those golden numbers (327 not happened in the latest 4D -_-") and in the mean time, study the graphics programming. Hopefully one day, i will be as smart as i-diagram ron (atleast my matlab skill not bad pun...haha).

{Yummy @ KL} Restaurant Yap Yin, Serdang

This post suppost to be post last month. Due to some "technical issues" I only manage to post it by today. Family & I visited this Restaurant during last trip to KL. It was introduced by HoChak!. After watching the program, my "air liur" almost drop down. The restaurant is located at the downtown Serdang. The specialty of this restaurant is, they offered variety on "Jiu Pai Choi"(special meals). It was famous on its "Bak Ku Teh", "Pork Leg", "Claypot Cheese Crab"(lots of ppl ordered this, next time i should try it),"Stimmed Shang Yu Pin"(This is the dish that drive me to visit this restaurant:p ),"Serdang Lat Tong"(Spicy Sour with Ayam Kampung), and many more. Lets the pictures describe it :)

The restaurant was full of ppl during the dinner session. Luckily we manage to get a medium sized table, just good enough to fill up the dishes. As living in the Carnivor family, we ordered 5 meats + 1 vege dishes... :)
While waiting for the dishes to be served, we bought some curry puff to fill up our empty stoma.

This is my piggy favorite. Chicken feets and "usus babi" in "Bak Ku Teh" taste.

"Stimmed Shang Yu". The chief cooked the meat and the bone separately to avoid overcook or undercook for both parts. The fish is so fresh, cut into slices and you can really enjoy the milk taste of the fish.

The is the famous soup in Serdang - "Lat Tong" - cooked with rice wine and kampung chicken. Those who cannot eat spice, not a choice for you :p

"Tin Gai" in onion and ginger - this is the dish that you hardly found in Penang. Even my piggy oso ate it. She pretend this is the fish meat. Well, it does taste like fish meat though.

Next is the "Pai Gut Wong". Nothing special but taste great.

My IBM died

What a present surprise! This morning i was rush to office for a project meeting. When i settle down everything and ready to powerup my IBM, some strange behavior happened. The fan of the system kept running and the screen did not show anything. Well, initially i thought this was due to the slow performance of my IBM. But it wasn't. I reschedule the meeting and took him to clinic. So panic as no backup been done since last quarter's system rebuilt.

It just took 5 minutes for the IT guy to diagnose it and the system is declare died. They did the surgery to take out the brain and migrate to a refurbish system. Whole process took only 15 minutes. Fortunately, everything working fine and the speed of the new system even faster :p.

I need to backup the system now, else all my critical information and treasure photos will gone.

Today not a bad day for me though...hehe.

Ho Yu But Ho Kao (can meet but cannot hope)

Home sweet home. Since last two week, MIL was asking us to look for property in Penang. She engaged a friend in Simpang Ampat who want to sell off a corner lot. Well, as usual i just agreed to check out the house, no harm ma. Simpang Ampat was a small town about 30-40km from island. We follows the old road instead of PLUS. Along the way, you can see the palm estate are surrounded the area. I felt very sad when saw the houses area around there are so rural. Questions keep on pop out in my mind - "Am I really gonna end up my life here?", "Wow!So kampung, how to stay?", "So dirty", this and that. While we reach MIL's friend house, I totally fed up. The design of the house are out-dated, like 20-30 years house. The space is really big 20x20x60 ft". The corner lot cost rm128k, negotiable. I said nothing, just to wait for the time to pass.

Along the way back, I ask myself "do you want to be a rich guy in poor city, or a poor guy in rich city?" No answer in my mind yet. Felt a bit depressed, uncertain on my future. Should i stay in island? mainland? or perhaps KL?

My mood had a 360 switched when i saw a big sign-board at the corner of the road stated that "RM168k Double storey terrace". Without delay much, we visited the showroom. The project already 90% done and will sooner received the OC. Unfortunately the rm168k project is sold off, only leave few units for rm183k. The design of the house is very comfortable and is built based on Chinese's feng shui. Another selling point is car porch - it is shielded by the concrete roof top (can do BBQ and party on top...hehe). Overall, i would said this house only needs to do some minor renovation, like grill installation and can migrate in. The drawback of the house are - toilet too small (cannot yinyong hei shui :p), too many flies (probably can rare my fish...haha) and surrounded by rural area. Well, all these are fall under my tolerance level :p.

Actually buying a house is not like buying vegetable, so many thing need to consider - property value, location, market demand, capital appreciation, economy of the country, future development, child's future, fengshui, etc.

Good house is "ho yu but ho kao". Luckily i found one, hopefully the area would not flood....hehe

Slow network == mentally torture

How come the network so slow?? Should i change my TMNEt to others broadband service providers? Slow network means low productivity. It took half an hour to send out my weekly report, i totally panic >_<. Luckily it able to send out in time, else i will kena sawalingam by my boss :)

I am uploading the activity photos to flickr, hopefully can finish upload it before 12.00am. else I will break my promise to Fong Goh - to upload the photo to him by today.

Time seems passed so fast since last week. Try to catch every precious moments with Maggie before she leaved Penang. The feeling of missing someone is really pain. Something tasted like when you ate the lemon, it will force your tears drop without you noticed. I am quite sensible sometime, even the touching moment in Survivor's show can make my tears dropped (not cry).
Weirdly, my tears did not drop during the moments with MG >_<... cool . So sad to see her happy face cried, we should celebrate the farewell in a cheerful environment. As the last gathering with MG and Jeff, we hang out at QE2. My first time visit this place though. The environment is brilliant, not really disappointed me, just felt like not too happening for clubbing. MG felt a little bit too noisy. The environment turns cheer once the alcohol being served.

{Yummy @ Penang} Restoran Floating, Tambun

Talking about food in Penang, i believe most of the ppl will think of seafood. Yes, this blog will bring you guys to visit one of the many seafood restaurants in Tambun.

The restaurant is located on top of an fish farm. It used to be the place to rare the fresh water fish. That is why the restaurant named.

Go in to the restaurant, you will served by the pretty nice dressed waitress. She will lead you to the aquariums and show you all the fresh seafood that they offered.

The restaurant is surrounded by these "Africa fishes"

We ordered some dishes from the Leng lui waitress and find a feng shui table in the restaurant. Within 10 minutes, the dishes are coming out.

My favorite Choy Dam

This is the Kap Ba's sour. The taste is good, if they replace
the Kap Ba will LALA, i believe will be great!.

Crabby. I ate myself :p

Another favorite dish. It was squid mix with a species called Hai Jiao (sea-bird) sizzling cooked. This Jiao is delicious, i highly recommend you try this species. It looks like a dry oyster mixed with a scallop. Must try.....

Lastly is this Nestrum's mantis shrimp.

The bills is cheap. Roughly rm20 per head. For those drunkers, you can enjoy the seafood and beers here. After the dinner, we head back to Prai.

Welcome U.S. Bus!! Finally we met again

Yesterday was full of U.S buses. Since earlier morning, ppl were talking about this bus. How come there was a method defined in the industry spec but no body verified it? Is the industry no longer need this bus? Or perhaps, these buses no longer needs the industry to support? How come those designers only validate the first cabin? U.S bus has so many cabins, can they validate the first cabin and justified that the rest of the cabins are working perfectly? How come the management keep on asking to validate all the cabins instead of the first? do the management know the validation? I doubt.....

Everywhere, anywhere, ppl talking about U.S bus. Since breakfast till lunch, ppl talking on buying cheap buses in the coming PC fair. Well, the buses now are really cheap compare to old days. Why? maybe ppl not doing validation enough gua...

Back to workshop, switch myself back to position, open out the US bus's engine. Felt shock when seen the engine was no difference compare with the previous model (later find out the model was the latest :p). Wondering around to look for the latest model in town, the ex-mechanic was disappear in the air. The mind even frustrated when continue to validate on the rest of the part. Time passed, emotional mind was overtook the high EQ. US buses really screwed up my day. Tired, no choice, while waiting for the ex-mechanic to confirm the model, I took out the engine, get a U.S.bus's driver to drive the engine back to my personal workshop.

When the driver arrived my place, i was so surprise that the driver did not fetch anything back to me. Everything screwed up. Well, no choice. I return to USbus's station to transfer the engine again...the scenario kept on repeating... copy-open-empty-recopy-reopen-reempty-recopy.... so many petrols wasted. During the way, my client - JOJO stopped me. His new buses, imported from Folsom - were dissappared. I checked with him see model that he imported, what a coincident, his buses are U.S buses as well. His PO system unable to detect the 2 USbuses that he ordered. I just wish him good luck and said byebye to him, without delay mine time.

Too tired on "copy-open-empty-recopy-reopen-reempty-recopy" process, I made a wise decision to take a rest and investigate the "missing" engine during the transaction. Idiotly, i found out that, the engine that i order to transfer from C: workshop was misplaced to D: workshop and the driver travelled along without anything so far.

Tired, reckless, emotional cannot help. Took a break, chitchat with Ladyboy and forwarding junk-mails helps lots to stable down my emotion and offcourse the heart-bits. Took up the screw driver, debug on the engine to see if able to start up the machine. I can felt the spark of the engine when i thighen up the screw. The U.S bus seems powered-up and ready to run!!!
Yooo...the bus really working. Cool man, as ppl always said - take rest is because you want to move further. If frustration overtook EQ, rest definely overtake frustration.

A moment later, ex-mechanic came back. She also quite shock about the urgent call. Well, sorry about that. Sent so many spam-mails seems like fooling myself. I felt so stupid when she looks angry. Seems like i fooling myself >_<.... After clarified with her, the model of U.S.buses are the latest and the greatest! Anyway, she really a good mechanic. If one day, i owned a bus company, i have to treat her a meal as the appreciate for her contribution to the industry.

The journey for this U.S. buses's mechanic is just the begining. Nobody will no how the industry will be. Hope the new generation U.S bus will have the full support from the top to bottom......Alhamdulillah.

First Blood

RedCrabby's first blood was drop (03/24/2008). It was happened during the working hours where his buddy - Botak - asking for blood donation in the office. He went along with Botak and Ladyboy (first time donor like crabby) to complete this holy job.

Well, blood donation really isn't that scary as expected. The activity was carry out by Penang Hospital. First you need to fill up the document, declare whatever hidden disease in your body and continue with sucking blood drops from the middle finger for analysis purpose.

After every checkout is done. RedCabby was direct to the donation area and lay down on the bed. You can select which hands you plan to do the niddle insertion, left or right doesn't matter.
Then the pretty nurse will insert a bigger size niddle into the opening of the nerve. That time onward, you can just close the eye and take a rest. Blood donation really as easy as abc. After the donation, there is a lucky draw session and some foods are provided.

Little drops of your blood might helps to save a life. RedCrabby's blood type is B+ oooo.... if he got any accident, please come to donate to him hoo!!

{Yummy @ Penang} Queensbay's Lan Kwai Fong

Lan Kwai Fong - Another place for those who stay in Bayan Baru area. The shop is located opposite Queensbay Mall. The first impression for me is the service very bad. No body come to entertain me when i walked in to this restaurant. The staff do no have proper uniform and their wears are not tidy. Waiting for few minutes, the menu came over.

Surprisingly they have a variety of choices, listed from rice-based to noodle-based meal. Its like the hong kong style restaurant.

I order this beef noodle. I tell you, this really a "must-try". The beef is well cooked, mixed with a homemade source and overcooked carrot. When bite on the carrot, the juice will explode in the mouth, the feeling is really unforgetable.

The waiter recommend this "yu-chi lo fan" (sharkfin mixed rice) to my gf. This is a famous dish in the shop. This is what the Hongkies ate during the bull market came... :p

The drinks we order a honey-lemon ice and a hongkong ying-yong milk tea.

The price is reasonable - around rm12+ for food and rm3+ for drink
Next time will bring the buddies over to enjoy other foods.

My colleagues used to say: "Where to celebrate your birthday?"
I guess better change to "Where are you going to treat us?" will be more suitable for their purpose. Well, buy ppl a meal should not be a problem for me. It always an honor to treat ppl for meal like most of the successful ppls did. Saleman buy dinner for biznesman. Biznesman buy dinner for politician. Politician at the end of the year will buy lunch/dinner for the voters (ever went to Abdullah's Open-House? :p)

So where to eat tomorrow? No idea la. I personally prefer dinner. However, tomorrow is quite rush for me to prepare, maybe i bring you guys to eat Penang's "4-great-emperors"...wahahaha
